PBCJ will bring Child Month to a close with the Pikney Sinting Edition of the PBCJ Watch Party on Saturday, May 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at PBCJ’s studio, 5-9 South Odeon Avenue.

The event will feature clips from some of Jamaica’s best-loved old-time children’s television programmes, along with a screening of the short film Flight from JAFT Propeller Film.

The programme will also include a performance of Jamaican ring games by the NDTC Singers. Entertainment strategist Yuan Simpson is slated to lead patrons in a ring-game singalong, revisiting songs many Jamaicans remember from school days before tablets became common.

Organisers are encouraging patrons to attend with friends, relatives and children so younger Jamaicans can experience the cultural traditions being showcased. Prizes will also be part of the evening’s activities.

The PBCJ Watch Party: Pikney Sinting Edition begins at 6:00 p.m. on May 30.
