
A 15-year-old student from Alligator Pond in Manchester is facing a rape charge in connection with an alleged attack in the parish on May 20.
According to the Mandeville police, a girl had gone to a business place to use the restroom about 7 p.m. when the boy attacked and sexually assaulted her.
The matter was later reported to the police, who took the teenager into custody. Investigators say he was charged after being identified at an identification parade. He is scheduled to appear in the Manchester Family Court on June 16.
