Jamaica Wins Two Tourism Honours At CTO Caribbean Week 2026

1 min read

Jamaica added fresh tourism recognition to its name at the 2026 Caribbean Tourism Organization Caribbean Week in New York City, securing two major awards on June 2.

The honours placed the island among the Caribbean’s leading destinations before an audience that included ministers, tourism officials and key players from the travel sector at the region’s main annual tourism gathering.

Among the awards was the Caribbean Media Award for Best Social Media Campaign, which recognises strong digital marketing, influencer collaborations and creative online storytelling aimed at international audiences.

That campaign was boosted by Love Island influencers who shared their 2025 Reggae Marathon experience, drawing more than six million views. A National Geographic article by travel writer Dana Givens, which highlighted luxury offerings in Jamaica, also formed part of the winning effort.

In a Jamaica Tourist Board release, Tourism Minister Hon. Edmund Bartlett said the awards reflected broad work across the local tourism industry.

"These awards are a testament to Jamaica's unwavering commitment to excellence in tourism," Bartlett said, adding that the recognition showed the resilience and creativity of partners helping to strengthen Brand Jamaica overseas.

Director of Tourism Donovan White also welcomed the acknowledgement, saying regional recognition speaks to the quality and appeal of Jamaica’s tourism product.

The wins further position Jamaica as both a popular travel choice and a strong voice in how the Caribbean promotes itself globally.
