
Four held after submachine gun and ammo seized in Montego Bay raid
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Four persons were taken into custody on Sunday, May 17, after officers recovered an Intratec 9mm Luger submachine gun and eleven 9mm rounds during a focused operation at a premises in Rose Heights, Montego Bay, St James.
Their names have not been made public while the matter is still under review.
According to reports, shortly after 12:53 pm a police party acting on a search warrant entered the property. In a bedroom, officers located the weapon with its magazine fitted and the ammunition inside, concealed under a bed in a black knapsack.
