450 Added Back To Barbados Reggae Weekend Sunday Finale
Promoters say dancehall artiste 450 is expected to perform Sunday night at "Reggae in the Gardens," the final show on the Barbados Reggae Weekend schedule.
The update came one day after he pulled out of Saturday night's "Showdown". A notice placed on the artiste's Instagram account said the cancellation was linked to difficulties with the event's promotion. It said: "To our fans and supporters in Barbados, 450 will not be attending or performing at Barbados Reggae Weekend tonight (Saturday) due to issues arising from the promoter's inefficiencies and failure to meet key obligations." The post also stated: "We apologise to everyone who was looking forward to the performance and appreciate your understanding and continued support."
Festival organisers later issued a separate statement asking the entertainer to refund money he had already received, but that message has since been deleted.
At Saturday's event, promoters shared a voice note from 450 in which he said he was on his way to Barbados and would take the stage on Sunday. He also apologised and described the matter as a "misunderstanding".
Dexta Daps, international R&B singer Fantasia and other performers are also listed for Sunday's bill.
