Chuck Fenda headlines sold-out Lakesplash Festival in Switzerland

Jamaican reggae artiste Chuck Fenda took the stage as the only headliner at a capacity Lakesplash Festival in Twann, Switzerland, turning in a forceful set that had the crowd joining in song from start to finish. Lakesplash ranks among Europe’s long-running reggae gatherings, and the singalong response pointed to the lasting reach of Fenda’s body of work and his knack for bridging older and younger fans.

Fenda described the night as among the high points of his career.

“The most memorable moment was seeing thousands of people singing my songs word for word and feeling that connection from the stage. The energy was incredible. It reminded me that message music still has power and that reggae continues to unite people from all walks of life,” Chuck Fenda said.

He added that the crowd’s reaction strengthened his view that genuine reggae still lands with listeners around the world.

“It meant everything to me. As an artiste, there’s no greater feeling than seeing people connect with your message. The love, the energy and the respect the fans showed proved that real reggae music is alive and well. It was a blessing, and I give thanks to Jah for that moment,” he said.

A peak of the set came when he delivered Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock, the release he is pushing at present. Fenda invited the crowd to take up the chorus, turning the number into a shared call-and-response that lifted the already charged mood. The warm reception suggested the song is gaining ground abroad and gave the evening another standout stretch.

Looking back on his years in the business, Fenda tied his staying power to belief, steady effort, and a refusal to soft-pedal meaningful music.

“First and foremost, I give thanks to Jah. My success comes from staying true to my purpose, never compromising my message, working hard and always giving my fans 100 per cent on and off the stage. Consistency, faith and perseverance have kept the living fire burning,” he said.

He also thanked fans across Europe for backing him over the years.

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and support throughout the years. You have always embraced my music and my message. I don’t take that for granted. I promise to keep bringing the fire, the positive vibrations and real reggae music. Much love and respect to all my European family,” he said.
