Youri Tielemans seals Old Trafford move after Villa release clause triggered
Manchester United have secured Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa by triggering a £35 million release clause.
The 29-year-old, who helped Belgium advance to the World Cup quarter-finals, has signed a five-year contract at Old Trafford.
After three seasons at Villa, Tielemans will wear the No. 18 jersey once used by Casemiro.
He brings notable credentials, among them an FA Cup triumph with Leicester City and a Europa League final victory while at Villa.
The deal forms part of United’s ongoing midfield rebuild, which already includes new arrivals Andrey Santos and goalkeeper Karl Darlow.
