AmCham Jamaica Celebrates 40 Years With New Kingston Leadership Gala
The American Chamber of Commerce Jamaica, better known as AmCham Jamaica, staged its Business and Civic Leadership Awards alongside its 40th anniversary celebration last Wednesday at The Jamaica Pegasus in New Kingston.
Guests turned out in formal black-tie wear for the gala, which drew figures from the business sector, diplomacy, philanthropy and civic life. The evening honoured people and institutions credited with helping to advance Jamaica’s development outside their regular professional roles.
Karl Hendrickson received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while the Eagle of the Americas Award went to the US State Department Bureau for Disaster and Humanitarian Response. Scotiabank’s Audrey Tugwell Henry was also recognised with the President’s Award.
