Jamaican Producer Kheilstone Fuses Lovers Rock and R&B on Body to Body Riddim

Following the launch of Audovic Nation and his partnership with UnitedMasters, the Grammy-nominated producer delivers modern lovers rock elements on his new project, featuring tracks from Medisun and an upcoming release from Joby Jay

Kheilstone sets romantic tone with Body to Body Riddim

Following the launch of his new imprint Audovic Nation (AVN) and a new exclusive distribution partnership with UnitedMasters, Grammy-nominated Jamaican producer Kheilstone is shifting focus toward a more personal and emotionally driven musical direction.

His latest production, the Body to Body Riddim, explores themes of intimacy, vulnerability and human connection through a modern fusion of lovers rock and R&B influences. Featuring artistes from different parts of the world, the project centers around romance, trust and emotional openness.

“When you listen to the Body to Body Riddim, you immediately feel dah sexy energy deh,” Kheilstone explained. “It’s a fusion of R&B and one-drop lovers rock. I wanted a name that matched the vibe. Body to Body was the only thing that really stuck. Plus, most of my reggae projects have always been love-based from the Voyage Riddim to Love Quest and Love Emoji Riddim - so this was a natural fit.”

According to the producer, the project is ultimately based on storytelling through different perspectives on love and relationships.

“What connects all the songs on the riddim is the conversation around love from different perspectives,” he shared. “The entire project is centered around love and relationships, just told through different stories and experiences.”

The riddim officially debuted with Nairobi-based singer-songwriter Cathy Matete and her single “Unravel You,” a reflective and emotionally driven track that helped establish the tone of the overall project.

“The song was inspired by the desire to deeply understand and connect with someone beyond surface level emotions,” Matete explained. “Personally, the song represents emotional honesty. I wrote it from a place of wanting closeness, reassurance and genuine connection in a world where relationships can sometimes feel uncertain or temporary. It’s soft, emotional and intentional and I think a lot of people will relate to that feeling of wanting to be chosen wholeheartedly.”

The latest release from the project is “Microdose” by Medisun, continuing the riddim’s exploration of intimacy and emotional connection. while set to continue with talent Jamaican singer Joby Jay, whose contribution “PDA” is scheduled for release on June 12, while additional artistes are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

For Kheilstone, the main objective is for listeners to reconnect with the emotions tied to love and attraction. “I just want people to walk away feeling refreshed and remember the feeling of being in love or even lust,” he said. “Everyone experiences music differently so I don’t want to tell people how to feel. However they connect with the project is cool with me.”
