Jordan Scott leaps 17.66m for triple jump world lead at Coqui Cup

Jamaican triple jumper Jordan Scott posted 17.66 metres on Sunday in Puerto Rico, with the wind gauge reading minus 0.67 metres per second. The leap ranks as the top mark worldwide this season and a new personal best for the athlete.
Scott claimed the men’s triple jump title at the Coqui International Cup, a World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meet. The distance improved on his previous lifetime best of 17.52 metres, set in July 2025.
No Jamaican has jumped farther in the event since Jaydon Hibbert reached 17.75 metres in June 2024, a performance that also stands as the Racers Grand Prix meet record.
