Lutan Fyah, Paul Morgan share life’s journey on My Story
Music producer Paul Morgan is betting on authenticity with his latest production, My Story, the lead single from reggae artiste Lutan Fyah’s upcoming album, The King of Rasta.
The song chronicles life’s struggles, triumphs, and unwavering faith, drawing from the real-life experiences shared by Morgan and Lutan Fyah over many years.
“My Story speaks about all avenues of my life growing up until now,” Morgan said. “Lutan is my bredren, and we’ve always shared different aspects of growing up in ‘sufferation’, so I knew he was the right person for this project.”
Composed and engineered by Salamon “Triple Ess” Salmon, the song delivers a message of perseverance and trust in God’s timing.
“Don’t dwell on doubt. Just persevere and trust God that everything will work out at the right time,” Morgan said.
Morgan believes the track stands apart because of its honesty, coupled with Lutan Fyah’s unmistakable vocals and authentic reggae delivery.
“What Lutan brought to this project is super melody, an authentic reggae sound and genuine experiences,” he said.
Although the single is yet to be officially released, Morgan says the response has already been overwhelmingly positive.
“It is just love all over regarding this project,” he shared.
My Story was released on July 12, with the official music video scheduled to première on July 19.
Morgan says an extensive digital and traditional promotional campaign is planned to support the release, while expressing confidence that the single will resonate with reggae lovers in Jamaica and across the world.
“Regardless of what you’ve been through, your dreams are still attainable,” he said.
