Pink Lane labourer dies in suspected electrocution while harvesting breadfruit

A 33-year-old labourer from Pink Lane, Kingston, died on Saturday in what authorities are treating as a suspected electrocution.
Police have identified the man as Damani Stewart, who also resided on Pink Lane.
Reports from law enforcement state that around 1:30 p.m., Stewart was gathering breadfruit from a tree when the implement he was using became caught in energized cables. He received electrical shocks as a result.
He was transported to Kingston Public Hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead.
The Denham Town police have begun an investigation into the incident.
