Score with Coca-Cola Tour brings World Cup fans together

2 min readSt. James

As football fans continue to rally behind their favourite teams, Coca-Cola is keeping the FIFA World Cup excitement going with its Score with Coca-Cola Tour, bringing fans together through interactive experiences, restaurant promotions and community events across the island.

The celebrations began with two lucky consumers winning an all-expenses-paid trip to experience the FIFA World Cup in person. Tashaa Catnott and Brenda Morgan travelled to Atlanta, Georgia, to watch the final Group Stage match between Morocco and Haiti after winning the brand’s Score with Coca-Cola promotion.

The excitement then hit the road, with stops in Ocho Rios, TGIF Portmore, Valu Mart in Clarendon, Sam Sharpe Square and Margaritaville in Montego Bay. At each location, football fans turned out to enjoy interactive games, trivia, giveaways, ice-cold Coca-Cola and the spirited banter and friendly rivalries that have become synonymous with football season.

With the tournament now entering its knockout stage, the excitement continues to build both on and off the pitch.

Sharing the idea behind the campaign, Chantellee McDonald, Senior Brand Manager – Coca-Cola Portfolio at Wisynco Group Limited, said the brand is focused on creating memorable experiences for football fans throughout the tournament.

“The World Cup is an exciting time here in Jamaica. The passion and love Jamaicans have for football is infectious. Everyone has their favourite team and player that they are cheering on, and for us at Coca-Cola we want to share in the celebrations and bring memorable moments to our consumers where they are,” she said.

“We especially enjoy connecting with our consumers and football fans as we bring the energy and vibes of the World Cup beyond the screen and into spaces where fans can participate in the moment. We want each stop and interaction with our brand to feel like a celebration of the beloved game of football,” she added.

The tour continues on July 9 with a stop at Mandela Park in Half-Way Tree, where football fans can enjoy games, giveaways and interactive activities before the Score with Coca-Cola campaign culminates with an exclusive, invite-only World Cup Final watch party on July 19.
