Global dancehall icon Sean Paul has added another Platinum certification in New Zealand, as his 2011 hit “She Doesn’t Mind” officially surpassed the equivalent of 30,000 units in sales and streaming in the region.
According to Recorded Music NZ, the single achieved Platinum status on May 7, with figures measured by the Official Charts Company.
“She Doesn’t Mind,” the second single from Sean Paul’s fifth studio album Tomahawk Technique, became one of his major crossover records of the 2010s. The track topped charts in Austria and reached the Top 10 in several countries, including France and Germany, further cementing his global appeal. The song was later remixed by Pitbull.
The single previously earned Platinum certification in the UK, representing over 600,000 units sold, while in Denmark it reached Platinum status with more than 1.8 million streaming equivalents. The track has amassed nearly 651 million streams on Spotify and over 672 million views on YouTube to date.
Sean Paul’s catalog continues to perform strongly worldwide, with “No Lie” featuring Dua Lipa reaching triple Platinum in New Zealand, while classics such as “Temperature” and “Get Busy” both remain double Platinum. Meanwhile, “Baby Boy” with Beyoncé also holds Platinum status in the country.
