Triple Fatal Crash in Westmoreland — The Westmoreland Traffic Police have intensified patrols across the parish, warning motorcyclists that strict enforcement action will be taken against anyone found breaching the Road Traffic Act.
The increased enforcement follows Saturday’s deadly motorcycle collision along the Little London main road, which claimed the lives of three men.
The deceased have been identified as 18-year-old O’Brian Bruce, 42-year-old Donald McKenzie, and Darren Bryan.
According to reports, the crash occurred about 12:30 a.m. when two motorcycles travelling in opposite directions collided, throwing all four riders onto the roadway.
Bruce died at hospital shortly after the crash, while McKenzie and Bryan later succumbed to their injuries. A fourth man remains hospitalised in critical condition.
Police say the heightened traffic operations are aimed at improving road safety and reducing the number of fatal crashes involving motorcyclists. Officers are urging all road users to obey the Road Traffic Act, wear protective gear where required, and exercise caution while using the nation’s roadways.
