West Indies men begin 10-day Antigua camp before Sri Lanka ODIs in Jamaica

Cricket West Indies (CWI) will send the Men in Maroon into a demanding 10-day high-performance camp in Antigua, running from May 21 to May 31, as preparations ramp up for a packed schedule of One Day International cricket.
Sessions are scheduled for the Coolidge Cricket Ground. The camp opens the build-up to the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka in Jamaica and will also help shape how the side approaches the 50-over game over the next 18 months.
Squad members face full-day work across batting, bowling, fielding, tactics, fitness, and match readiness. CWI expects match simulations and team-building exercises to feature heavily as management pushes for tighter unity on and off the pitch.
Players will link up with the regional body’s high-performance unit, drawing on coaching, sports science, medical care, and strength-and-conditioning specialists. Head coach Daren Sammy leads the programme with his backroom team, while newly named fast-bowling consultant Ottis Gibson is due to start officially during the camp.
