
Spanish Town gun attack kills two men, injures two others on Corletts Road
Two men were killed and two other persons, one of them a woman, were injured in a gun attack in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Wednesday night.
The police report that the shooting happened about 10:51 p.m. on Corletts Road. A group had gathered in the area when men armed with guns approached and fired on them.
Early information suggested that one man had died and three other people were hurt. Police later confirmed that another man died while being treated at hospital.
The names of the two deceased men have not yet been made public. Investigators say the attackers left the scene after the shooting.
All four victims were taken for medical treatment, but two died from their injuries. The two survivors remain in hospital care.
Detectives from the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating the double murder and shooting. The police are asking anyone who can help with the case to contact them.
