ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A major shooting incident Tuesday afternoon has forced the closure of the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Hopeton Nicholson confirmed the shooting but was unable to immediately provide further details.
Unconfirmed reports reaching Observer Online are that police and gunmen were involved in a shootout resulting in several persons being injured.
