BOJ liquidity offer draws $2.8 billion in DTI bids

Demand from deposit-taking institutions exceeded the Bank of Jamaica’s Monday liquidity operation, as the central bank got five offers valued at $2.8 billion for the $1 billion it made available.
The submissions carried an average yearly interest rate of 5.84 per cent.
The BOJ, in its role as lender of last resort, offers temporary funding to financial entities dealing with short-run cash flow pressure.
