Brooky Danger Builds Radio Momentum With Hope-Driven Reggae Singles

1 min read

Reggae singer Brooky Danger is gaining attention in Jamaica and among diaspora audiences through his new single Joy Within My Soul, an uplifting track that is picking up steady radio play while offering a message of hope and resilience. He is also seeing encouraging support for his lovers' rock cut Feel So Right, a sign of his range as his international profile continues to grow.

Brooky Danger explained that Joy Within My Soul grew out of everyday struggles and his wish to urge listeners to stay upbeat even when life gets hard. "I want people to be motivated to go about their daily life," he said.

Though he was born in Jamaica, he now lives in New York. He said time abroad has deepened his outlook and sharpened his writing. "It has widened my knowledge base, so I am able to see more, so I have more to write about," he said.

Even with the song's strong hopeful tone, Brooky Danger said a positive spirit has long defined him, so the release fits how he sees the world. He noted that reaction to both singles has surpassed what he expected, with radio uptake in Jamaica and overseas. "The response has been overwhelming, hence I have been very busy putting things together," he said.

He welcomed the backing but argued that conscious reggae still needs a wider platform, pointing out that many listeners lean toward darker subject matter. Drawing on the influence of Bounty Killer and Buju Banton, he confirmed he is already preparing fresh material. "My long-term goals are to be touring and helping as many people as possible."
