Energy Minister Daryl Vaz said the Government anticipates recouping the losses Petrojam sustained when the state-owned refinery shielded consumers from steep global oil-price increases linked to the Middle East conflict. According to Vaz, subsidies built up during the current financial year will be recovered gradually once international oil prices become more stable.

In cricket, the West Indies women secured a clean sweep of their three-match one-day series against Ireland. They won Wednesday’s third and final ODI at Brady Cricket Ground by 64 runs.
