Bubbles Commands Pier One Starstruck Wednesday Showcase in Montego Bay

Pier One's weekly Starstruck Fashion and Talent Show took a slightly different shape on Wednesday, July 1, as the Montego Bay fixture moved from its regular fashion segment into a live stage presentation.

The night opened with the customary fashion show before the programme shifted into the performance side of the event. Patrons then got a "Divas in Concert" feature, with Lady Kerine appearing first, followed by Bubbles and Goddess.

Bubbles drew the biggest reaction of the night, holding the venue's attention with a high-energy dancehall set and her trademark dance moves, which kept supporters on their feet for the duration of her performance.

Starstruck Wednesday has been part of Montego Bay's entertainment landscape for more than 20 years. The weekly event gives aspiring models a space to present their fashion and style, while emerging artistes use the DJ segment to show what they can do. The show gets under way at 8:30 p.m. every Wednesday.
