Buju Banton Sets July 2026 Release for Too Too Bad Dancehall Album

Buju Banton has confirmed that a new album, Too Too Bad, is on the way, with the project set to arrive on July 17, 2026 through VP Records.

The release is being billed as a “Real Dancehall Ting!” and will stand as Banton’s newest full-length dancehall set after his 2023 album, Born For Greatness.

News of the album follows the rollout of Butterflies, his latest single and the first track from the upcoming project, which was released last month. Supa Dups produced the song for Black Chiney Music, while Gargamel Music/VP Records issued it. The single uses a refreshed version of the Real Rock riddim.

The title also recalls Banton’s 2006 album Too Bad, which included dancehall tracks such as Try Off a Yuh, Hey Boy, Better Day Coming and others.
