Jamaica Chamber of Commerce launches 41st annual business awards

The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce has launched the 41st annual JCC Awards, with the 2026 staging focused on Jamaican firms rebuilding and expanding under the theme, “Building Forward: Recognising Excellence in Recovery, Resilience and Growth.” The official media launch was held at the Jaguar Land Rover showroom, ahead of the June 11 awards ceremony at The Jamaica Pegasus.

JCC President Emile Leiba and immediate past president Philip Ramson pointed to the difficult operating climate facing local companies, saying businesses have had to keep adjusting while supporting communities and national development. Prime Minister Dr Andrew Holness is scheduled to deliver the keynote address on business leadership and sustained recovery in the post-Hurricane Melissa environment.

The Best of Chamber Awards will recognise companies by size. Micro enterprise nominees are KCLH Full Business Solutions, Joan Lattie Realty and Sugar Lifestyle. Small enterprise nominees are Epic Technologies and Essrom. Medium enterprise nominees are Allied Insurance Brokers, Bio-Regeneration Integrated Medical Centre Limited, Caribbean Assurance Brokers Limited, Caribbean Foods Limited, Fraser Fontaine and Kong, Myers Fletcher and Gordon Attorneys-at-Law, and Stronghold Information Management.

Large enterprise nominees are Aventa, Chas. E. Ramson Limited and Cuna Caribbean Insurance Jamaica Limited. Extra-large enterprise nominees are Flow Jamaica, GraceKennedy Limited, Guardsman Group, Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, Massy Gas Products Jamaica Limited, National Commercial Bank, Red Stripe, Seprod and Supreme Ventures Limited.

For the JCC Carreras Environmental, Social and Governance Award, nominees are GraceKennedy Limited, Jamaica Public Service Company Limited, J. Wray & Nephew Limited, Massy Gas Products Jamaica Limited, Optimum Alteis, Red Stripe and Seaboard Freight and Shipping Jamaica Limited.

The Entrepreneur Award nominees are Brian Lumley of Foodie Focus Limited, Jeffrey Azan of Select and Start, Joni Gayle Coley of HR Consultants, Joni Gayle Coley and Associates, and Theo Smith of Great House Caterers. The JCC CG United Marketing Excellence Award nominees are Chilitos Jamaican Food, Flow Jamaica, GraceKennedy Limited, Red Stripe and Sagicor Group Jamaica.
