Butch Stewart family settles post-2021 disputes over Sandals legacy

Relatives of the late Jamaican business and tourism leader Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart say the disagreements that followed his January 2021 death have now been settled, and that the family is turning its attention to the future of his legacy.

The update came in a joint statement distributed through LennoxPaton, a law firm in The Bahamas. In the release, the family of The Hon Gordon “Butch” Stewart OJ, founder of the Sandals & Beaches Group, said they are ready to move ahead with their lives and remain encouraged by the continued growth and success of the group he left behind.
