Cedar Grove Academy is grieving after a grade eight student died in what investigators are treating as a possible suicide during the weekend.
The student has been named as Davian Armstrong, 14, who lived in North Greater Portmore, St Catherine. Reports indicate that about 4:30 pm Saturday, Davian was at home before relatives realised he could not be located.
A search of the property was carried out, and he was discovered hanging. He was rushed to hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The Portmore Criminal Investigations Branch has taken charge of the probe.
