Masked gunmen kill St Andrew car wash operator Samuel Foster on Central Avenue
Law enforcement is trying to locate several men linked to the fatal shooting of 59-year-old car wash operator Samuel Foster on Saturday night.
According to reports, shortly after 8:15 p.m., Foster—also known as Alex—was at his business on Central Avenue in St Andrew with other people when a grey Toyota Axio carrying three ski-masked occupants approached. Two men left the vehicle and spoke briefly with him. They are said to have taken his licensed gun and then shot him.
Foster tried to get away but collapsed on the ground as the assailants fled in the same car. Officers were called to the scene and found him in a pool of blood. An initial check indicated gunshot injuries to the upper body. Investigators processed the location before the remains were taken for a post-mortem.
Authorities have not determined why Foster was targeted. The St Andrew North police division is leading the inquiry.
