Chazae Morgan Links Personal Loss to Radiology Path Through Barry Wint Scholarship
Chazae Morgan, a 2025 recipient of the Dr. Barry Wint Memorial Scholarship, has spoken about her passion for radiology and her hope of making a difference through the early detection of disease.
In a Ministry of Health and Wellness feature, Morgan said she came to see medical imaging as the field best suited to her goals. She wants families to receive timely diagnoses and access treatment before conditions advance beyond help.
"I realized that this is the field for me, because I want to help people to diagnose their family members and find a cure before it is too late," she said.
Morgan pointed to a difficult personal experience as part of what shaped her direction. She said she hopes others will not endure the same kind of ordeal she faced.
"So, nobody has to struggle that tragic day like I did," Morgan said.
Her remarks tie the scholarship award to a clear professional aim in diagnostic imaging, centred on spotting illness sooner rather than later.
