Chris Brown enters guilty plea to London affray, other counts to be withdrawn
LONDON, United Kingdom (AFP) — US R&B artist Chris Brown entered a guilty plea Friday to a public order charge tied to a reported fight at a London club in 2023.
Standing in the dock at Southwark Crown Court in a beige suit and dark tie, the 37-year-old answered “Guilty” when the affray allegation was read to him.
As a result, he will escape trial on additional counts linked to the same episode, among them attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and having an offensive weapon — a bottle. The prosecutor indicated those remaining charges are due to be withdrawn on a later date.
