Chris John Addison has opened a 24-point lead at the top of the Drift Ruption standings after taking round two at Falmouth Pier on Sunday.

Fans who had spent the day watching a one-sided World Cup final later packed the pier for a different kind of spectacle, and the large turnout was rewarded. The regular frontrunners again controlled the action and kept the crowd engaged.

Andre Walker and Jason Reid set the tone before the heavier machinery moved onto the gravel. Nicholas Tazz Barnes, who finished fourth in round one, put on a strong display but again came home in a similar spot, ending on 128 points.

Reigning champion Steve "Gutta Hype" Hamilton, who was cut in the opening round, recovered this time to finish third. Sheldon "Z Boss" Johnson held second place once more, with 176 points.

Addison, winner of round one, repeated at the top after posting the maximum 200 points and sending his supporters into celebration.

Organisers say the Falmouth stop was the last warm-up before the series moves onto faster circuits, with rounds three through five set for Dover and Jam West.
