Chuck Fenda woos crowd as sole headliner for Lakesplash Festival

Reggae powerhouse Chuck Fenda delivered a commanding performance as the sole headliner at the sold-out Lakesplash Festival in Twann, Switzerland, on July 10, captivating thousands of fans with an energetic set that was further amplified by his latest single, Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock (produced by Junavill Records), as well as Gash Dem, I Swear, and Warning.
The festival, one of Europe’s established reggae events, saw patrons singing along throughout the performance, underscoring the enduring appeal of Chuck Fenda’s catalogue and his ability to connect with audiences across generations.
For the entertainer, the experience was one of the standout moments of his career.
“The most memorable moment was seeing thousands of people singing my songs word for word and feeling that connection from the stage. The energy was incredible. It reminded me that message music still has power and that reggae continues to unite people from all walks of life,” Chuck Fenda said.
He said the overwhelming response from the audience reaffirmed his belief that authentic reggae continues to resonate with listeners worldwide.
“It meant everything to me. As an artiste, there’s no greater feeling than seeing people connect with your message. The love, the energy and the respect the fans showed proved that real reggae music is alive and well. It was a blessing, and I give thanks to Jah for that moment,” he said.

One of the defining moments of the performance came when Chuck Fenda performed Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock, the single he is currently promoting. He turned the performance into an interactive experience by encouraging the audience to sing the chorus, a move that elevated the already electric atmosphere.
“Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock” is more than just a song—it’s a movement. I got the crowd involved by making them sing the chorus with me, and the response was amazing. It brought everyone together and lifted the energy to another level. Europe embraced it, and that moment will stay with me,” he said.
The strong reception to the track demonstrated its growing momentum among international audiences and added another highlight to the night’s performance.
Reflecting on his longevity in the music industry, Chuck Fenda credited his success to his faith, consistency and commitment to delivering music with substance.
“First and foremost, I give thanks to Jah. My success comes from staying true to my purpose, never compromising my message, working hard and always giving my fans 100 per cent on and off the stage. Consistency, faith and perseverance have kept the Living Fire burning,” he said.
The reggae veteran also expressed gratitude to his European supporters, acknowledging their unwavering loyalty throughout his career.

“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and support throughout the years. You have always embraced my music and my message. I don’t take that for granted. I promise to keep bringing the fire, the positive vibrations and real reggae music. Much love and respect to all my European family,” he said.
Chuck Fenda’s European tour continues next month with performances at the Turnpike Reggae Festival in Germany on August 14 and 15, where he is expected to once again showcase his signature brand of conscious reggae.
“The living fire keeps burning! Next up, I’ll be performing in Germany at the Turnpike Reggae Festival on August 14 and 15. Come ready for a powerful performance and positive vibrations. Wah Gwaan Pon Di Rock!” he said.
