
Clarendon Policeman Stable After Vest Stops Bullet During Effortville Operation
A police officer avoided major harm on Friday when a round hit the vest he was wearing during an encounter with an armed man in Farm, Effortville, Clarendon.
The policeman was assigned to an Area 3 Anti-Fugitive Apprehension Team operation when he was hit in the chest. He was later carried to hospital for medical care and is listed in stable condition.
The incident ended with the fatal shooting of O’Neil Hamilton, 23, also known as “Jay” or “Puttae”, a labourer from Oliver Gardens in May Pen, Clarendon. A gun was reportedly taken from the scene during the operation.
