Coca-Cola, which is distributed locally by Wisynco Group Limited, is taking its FIFA World Cup campaign directly to football supporters around Jamaica.
The brand, an official global partner of the tournament, begins its Road Tour on Thursday, June 11, at Ocho Rios Square, the same day the FIFA World Cup officially gets under way. Fans at the stops will be able to take part in football-centred activities, enjoy entertainment, receive giveaways and join in experiences built around the tournament.
Chantellee McDonald, Senior Brand Manager – Coca-Cola Portfolio at Wisynco Group Limited, was photographed during the Score with Coca-Cola prize handover.
“The World Cup is an exciting time here in Jamaica. The passion and love Jamaicans have for football is infectious. Everyone has their favourite team and player that they are cheering on, and for us at Coca-Cola we want to share in the celebrations and bring memorable moments to our consumers where they are”, said McDonald.
The tour forms part of Coca-Cola’s wider FIFA World Cup promotions in Jamaica. Earlier in June, the company revealed the winners of its Score with Coca-Cola promotion, which offered instant prizes as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to attend a FIFA World Cup match.
Tashaa Catnott and Brenda Morgan were selected as grand prize winners and received an all-expense-paid trip to Atlanta, Georgia, for the final Group Stage fixture between Morocco and Haiti. They were also photographed at the handover with Coca-Cola-branded suitcases.
Coca-Cola said the Score with Coca-Cola Tour will also reach selected participating restaurants, where customers will be able to access special offers during the football season.
“We are excited to connect with our consumers and football fans as we bring the energy and vibes of the World Cup beyond the screen and into spaces where fans can participate in the moment,” McDonald added. “We want each stop and interaction with our brand to feel like a celebration of the beloved game of football.”
After Ocho Rios, the Road Tour is scheduled for Valu Mart in Clarendon on June 17, Sam Sharpe Square in Montego Bay on June 20, and Mandela Park in Half-Way Tree on July 9.
