Port Antonio crowning: lawyer Christina Williams named Miss Portland Festival Queen 2026
Port Antonio has a new parish festival queen. Christina Williams, a 28-year-old attorney, was recently crowned Miss Portland Festival Queen 2026 at the Tim Bamboo Hotel.
“I am over the moon, I’m excited, I’m elated, but most importantly, I’m grateful. This year I’m counting down to my 20th anniversary of service to community and country, and I felt it was a good way to round out my time contributing to my parish by entering this competition and having another platform to serve. I’m looking forward to that opportunity, and of course, bringing my Portlanders with me,” said Williams, who serves as development advisor and head of information privacy and protection at the Jamaica National Heritage Trust.
She also took home three sectional titles: Most Culturally Aware, Most Active in the Community, and Most Poised. First runner-up Tish-Khani Thompson collected Most Congenial, Best Performance, and Most Popular on Social Media. Kaylia Thompson finished as second runner-up.
“I formed a deep kinship with my fellow sister contestants, and now I actually want to work with them to launch our group project here, because beyond my title, I want to be of service,” Williams, a Titchfield High School graduate, shared. She now turns toward the national pageant on August 1 and aims to carry that momentum into her parish project with clear purpose.
