Dancehall Artist Chronic Law Reportedly Detained Again in United States

Jamaican dancehall artist Chronic Law, whose given name is Ackeem Campbell, has reportedly been taken into custody in the United States.

Reports indicate the detention took place in South Florida. Word circulating in entertainment circles links the hold to a firearm. Campbell had been in Miami for a performance.

This would be the second time United States authorities have detained him. The earlier incident involved ICE holding him over an immigration matter.

A Republican junior Congressman said, "These are exactly the kind of people we don't want in America. We want upstanding law-abiding citizens. Jamaica has a huge crime problem, and we don't want it imported here. We negotiated with Ambassador Marks and came to an understanding, which we hear is causing controversy in Jamaica. She signed it and Ambassador Marks can show you all the MOU and the plans she brought to us. Jamaica is a friend to the United States and said it would gladly help with our TCN situation."

A spokesperson representing Chronic Law said, "At this time, I ask the public, members of the media, and fans to remain calm and allow the legal process to take its course.
