Dancehall deejay Flippa Moggela detained in US on fresh New Jersey federal drug conspiracy counts

Andrew Kendrick Davis, who performs as Flippa Moggela, is again in the hands of United States law-enforcement officers. He now answers to serious fresh drug-trafficking counts arising from a federal narcotics conspiracy matter in New Jersey. Together with Damion Jones, James McBride, and Clifford Brown, he is alleged to have agreed to acquire and move at least 500 grams of methamphetamine, at least 400 grams of fentanyl, and at least five kilograms of cocaine from August 2025 through May 2026.

Investigators describe all four men as participants in a narcotics distribution organisation and point to video surveillance, telephone calls, and data taken from Davis's iCloud account as factors connecting the four men to the matter at hand. Davis is expected back in court on May 14 for a bail hearing.

The episode is not Davis's first brush with federal authorities in the United States. In 2016 he was convicted of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and of money laundering. He received a 25-year sentence but served nine years and has been on parole since October 2022.
