
Two men wounded in Bellefield High School shooting in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Two men are receiving hospital treatment after being shot near the gate of Bellefield High School on Sunday.
Early accounts indicate that around 5:00 pm, assailants in masks confronted a gathering and discharged their weapons, striking two of the men before making off.
Those present had come to the school grounds for their usual Sunday football match when the assault took place.
Both wounded men were taken for medical care; one was hit in the face and the other in the shoulder, according to reports.
Police added that a third man sustained bruises and other slight injuries while people scrambled for safety as the shots were fired.
