"So Much Trouble in the World" by reggae legend Bob Marley and the Wailers has surpassed 30,000 combined sales and streaming units, becoming the latest Marley recording to earn Platinum certification in New Zealand

Bob Marley and the Wailers' "So Much Trouble in the World" has earned its first-ever Platinum certification, achieving Platinum in New Zealand after surpassing 30,000 combined sales and streaming units. The milestone marks the reggae legend's latest certification in the country.


Released in 1979 from the group's acclaimed album Survival, the socially conscious anthem peaked at No. 56 on the UK Singles Chart.


The Survival album has also enjoyed international recognition, earning Gold certifications in the United Kingdom for over 100,000 units, New Zealand, Canada, France, and Spain.



The single has amassed more than 43 million views across its official YouTube uploads and over 122 million streams on Spotify to date.


Bob Marley continues to dominate New Zealand's certification records, with more than 23 songs achieving multi-Platinum status. "Could You Be Loved" remains his biggest certified hit at 8× Platinum, while timeless classics including "Three Little Birds," "Is This Love," "Jamming," and "Buffalo Soldier" have each been certified more than 4× Platinum.
