
Funcaandun wins Seeking My Dream Trophy; earns 60 points towards Mouttet Mile qualification
2024 winner Funcaandun earned 60 points towards qualification for this year's Mouttet Mile after landing Saturday's 5th running of the Seeking My Dream Trophy event at Caymanas Park. The former Horse of the year, led home a trifecta in the event for champion trainer Jason DaCosta.
He was ridden to victory by Robert "Hard Ball" Halledeen. The 5 year old American-bred bay horse covered the trip in 1 minute, 30.2 seconds to win by three and a half lengths.
Halledeen and DaCosta each had a double on the programme, as well as 2-time reigning champion jockey Raddesh Roman and inform apprentice Tajay Suckoo. Racing continues next Saturday.
