The Jamaica Table Tennis Association (JTTA) has announced the appointment of communications professional and media practitioner Kediesha Perry as its new head of communications.

Perry brings to the role nearly eight years of experience across journalism, public relations, and media communications, along with a strong commitment to youth mentorship and community involvement. She is also a freelance voice-over talent and has built a reputation for impactful storytelling, strategic communications, and advocacy through media.

An alumna of Glenmuir High School and the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) at The University of the West Indies, Mona, Perry has consistently demonstrated a passion for youth empowerment and national development both within and beyond her professional career. Outside of her work in media and communications, she actively mentors young people and remains involved in initiatives aimed at personal development and community upliftment.

Speaking on her appointment, Perry expressed gratitude for the opportunity and her vision for the future of the association’s communications and outreach efforts.

“I am deeply honoured by this appointment to serve as head of communications for the Jamaica Table Tennis Association. For me, this is far more than a title; it is a meaningful step in my ongoing belief in youth development, national building, and the transformative power of sport. It is also an opportunity to champion a sector that I have long believed possesses immense potential, but has unfortunately been underinvested in for far too long. I look forward to contributing to positive and lasting change for our athletes, communities, and the future of Jamaican table tennis. Above all, this moment stands as a testament to the rewards of hard work, perseverance, and God’s grace. To every little girl growing up in a rural community with big dreams: never stop believing in what is possible for your life,” she said.

President of the Jamaica Table Tennis Association, Ingrid Graham, welcomed Perry’s appointment and praised the depth of experience and passion she brings to the organisation.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kediesha Perry to the Jamaica Table Tennis Association as our head of communications. Her expertise in media and communications, coupled with her passion for youth and national development, makes her an excellent fit for this role. Kediesha’s commitment to community involvement and empowering young people aligns strongly with the values and vision of the JTTA, and we are confident that her contributions will help elevate the profile and impact of the sport across Jamaica,” Graham said.

The Jamaica Table Tennis Association continues to strengthen its administrative and developmental framework as it works toward expanding opportunities for athletes, increasing public engagement, and advancing the growth of table tennis locally and internationally.
