ST ANDREW, Jamaica: St Andrew Gas Station Robbery — Police have launched a manhunt for a group of men who allegedly robbed a pump attendant at a gas station in St Andrew before shooting her and fleeing the scene in a Toyota Probox on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at about 1:36 p.m. at the Total service station on Deanery Road.
According to investigators, the suspects robbed the female pump attendant before opening fire, leaving her with injuries. She was rushed to hospital, where she remains receiving treatment.
Police believe the men are part of a criminal syndicate linked to a series of service station robberies across the Corporate Area.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is appealing to the individuals being sought to turn themselves in to the Hunts Bay Police immediately.
Investigators are also urging anyone with information that could assist in locating the suspects to contact the Hunts Bay Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) at 876-923-7111, the Police Emergency number 119, Crime Stop at 311, or the nearest police station.
Investigations into the shooting and robbery remain ongoing.
