St James Long Hill crash injures two JCF officers as service vehicle overturns

ST JAMES, Jamaica — A woman member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, described as serving with the Hanover Police Division, was hurt on Wednesday afternoon when the official vehicle she rode in flipped on Long Hill main road.
Early accounts say she and a male officer were aboard the unit when it rolled. A burst tyre is suspected of unsettling the driver, who could not hold the line; the car then ran onto a roadside rise and turned over.
The policewoman took a cut to the forehead and was rushed for care. The male officer was also said to have been sent to a hospital to be examined.
A recovery truck later pulled the damaged transport from the spot. Until then, the well-travelled corridor saw long queues and severe disruption.
