Vybz Kartel Lands Feature on Chris Brown’s New Album Brown

Vybz Kartel has been named as one of the collaborators on Chris Brown’s upcoming album Brown, marking another big U.S. link-up in the deejay’s career since his release from prison.
The song is listed as F#ck N Party, and it appears on the guest lineup previewed for Brown’s 12th studio project. Brown is set to release the album on Friday, May 8, and the set is expected to carry 27 tracks. Other featured names include Leon Thomas, Tank, Bryson Tiller, NBA YoungBoy, GloRilla, Fridayy, Sexyy Red and Lucky Daye.
Brown had already shown public support for Kartel before this record. After Kartel’s Freedom Street concert wrapped on January 1, 2025, the R&B singer shared “BIG UP @vybzkartel” with Jamaican flag emojis on Instagram.
The feature arrives while Kartel’s profile continues to grow across major international releases. He recently appeared on PBT from Travis Scott’s JACKBOYS 2, alongside South African singer Tyla.
To introduce Brown, Chris Brown used a stylized trailer with a retro stage-show feel, presenting featured acts as if they were billed performers. The campaign also leans into visuals reminiscent of Thriller, with Brown framed as the main act for what the teaser described as “a night of soul, R&B and timeless classics.”
Brown follows his 2023 album 11:11 with this release. That earlier project won Best R&B Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards and gave him his second Grammy. His catalogue also includes several Caribbean connections: Sean Paul on Brown Skin Girl in 2009; Brown joining Capella Grey’s Gyalis remix with Popcaan in 2021; Byron Messia on Nightmares from 11:11; and two collaborations with Shenseea, on Fireboy DML’s Diana (2022) and Busta Rhymes’ Open Wide (2023).
