Diesel Train, Midnight Galaxy and Sudden Flight tipped for Reggae 6 wagers

DIESEL TRAIN, MIDNIGHT GALAXY and SUDDEN FLIGHT are being put forward as the main Reggae 6 anchors for what looks like a more manageable end-of-weekend wager, following a difficult outing for bettors last Sunday.

Raddesh Roman opened that programme by winning the first two races, scoring with 2-5 favourite SIR WONG DON before returning with FLYBLUEJET at 2-1. After that, Reggae 6 players were hit by a string of surprises that reshaped the rest of the nine-race card and helped produce a $773,547 dividend.

Claiming rider Richie Shakes was central to the upset run, beginning in the third race with PRINCE DANIEL at 9-1. Drawn at post one in the five-furlong straight contest, PRINCE DANIEL reversed recent form against CW TREASURE and 8-5 favourite SWEET BERN, both of whom had finished ahead of him in consecutive starts.

MO AVIATOR followed in the fourth at 5-1, using early pace from post two to handle the inside draw down the straight and hold off rivals in the three-furlong sprint under claiming rider Emeliio McLean.

Phillip Parchment then delivered a strong late run aboard 16-1 surprise CAPTAIN FANTASTIC. The winner swept past LINSTEAD MARKET, CHERRY BLOSSOM and MISS LYNTON after that trio battled hard for the lead, taking over a furlong from home and pulling away in the five-and-a-half-furlong event.

Shakes added another blow to Reggae 6 tickets in the sixth race, guiding 20-1 outsider BADBADTANESHA to catch 2-1 favourite MODERN MONARCH, who had been trying to slip away close to home.

Sunday’s Twilight 6 is presented as a better option, with SUDDEN FLIGHT and first-time starter NEBRASKA listed as bankers.
