Digicel Named Official Connectivity Partner for Magnum Taste of Reggae Sumfest 2026
Digicel Jamaica will serve as the Official Connectivity Partner for Magnum A Taste of Reggae Sumfest 2026, extending its support for major cultural gatherings and promising richer experiences for customers islandwide.
Executives from Digicel Jamaica and Downsound Entertainment put pen to paper at a signing ceremony held on Thursday, June 25. The move clears the path for closer collaboration as Jamaica's leading music festival prepares to take over St. Ann under this year's Gaza/Gully theme.
The arrangement falls under Digicel's silver-jubilee programme, themed Powered By You, which honours the customers who have stood at the centre of the company's growth over the past 25 years.
"For 25 years, Digicel has been connecting Jamaicans to the people, places and moments that matter most. Whether it's sharing life's milestones, cheering on our athletes or celebrating the music that defines who we are, connectivity has always been about bringing people together," said Digicel Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Murad.
Murad pointed to Reggae Sumfest as one of the island's landmark cultural showcases, highlighting local music, creativity and global reach. In its connectivity role, Digicel intends to keep thousands of patrons online throughout the event while building memorable touchpoints on the festival grounds and across its digital channels.
Fans can expect dedicated customer offers, prize giveaways, branded activations and shareable moments that carry the spirit of Sumfest before, during and after the shows.
The Sumfest tie-up also forms part of Digicel's nationwide Tun Up Fi 25 drive, which is handing out major prizes, exclusive outings and community events across the summer as the company marks its milestone year.
Joe Bogdanovich, Chief Executive Officer of Downsound Entertainment, said strong alliances remain key to lifting the festival experience for patrons.
"We are excited to welcome Digicel as our Official Connectivity Partner. Reggae Sumfest has always been about bringing people together through music, culture, and shared experiences. Today, the way fans experience festivals has evolved. They want to capture the moments, share them instantly, and feel connected wherever they are. We look forward to partnering with Digicel to create an incredible experience for patrons this year."
With one of the summer's biggest entertainment draws approaching, Digicel said the partnership signals its ongoing investment in the experiences Jamaicans value most.
"This partnership is about much more than what happens on stage," Murad added. "The magic of Reggae Sumfest doesn't end when the performance does. It lives on through the photos, videos, and posts share and the conversations that continue long after the music stops, reaching family and friends here in Jamaica and across the diaspora. Our role is to power those connections, helping fans stay close to the people, the moments and the culture they came to celebrate. From the stage to the crowd and every shared memory in between, Digicel is proud to help keep Jamaica connected as we've been doing over the past 25 years."
