Dear Pastor,
I need your guidance because I have been carrying a lot of guilt.
I am pregnant with my first child. I told my ex that he is the father, but the truth is, I am not certain because I was also fooling around with someone else at that time. I let him believe that he impregnated me because I was hurt and jealous after our relationship ended. We were together on and off since high school. Although our relationship was toxic and he was physically abusive at times, he also helped me a lot by giving me a place to live, supporting me financially, and helping me while I prepared to return to school.
After I found out he had moved on, I became bitter and wanted revenge. I even went to a witch doctor using some of his belongings because I wanted him to be tied to me, and I have been trying to trap him into staying in my life through this pregnancy. I know these choices were wrong, and the guilt is weighing heavily on me.
Pastor, do you think I am an evil person? Is there still hope for someone like me to repent and make things right?

Dear Writer,
Let me begin to answer your letter by assuring you that there is room at the cross for you, and that the Lord is not going to block your entrance into heaven by the type of sin you have committed.
Clearly you were misled by believing that you could use some of the ‘belongings’ of this man to tie him so that no other woman would have him. There are men and women who believe they can tie others, and people have spent considerable amounts of money in trying to do so. Yes, many taxi drivers know where these persons who have set up their practices can be found. I have been told that even Christians are seeing of some of these persons. I feel sorry for you because I believe that you genuinely thought that it was possible for this wicked obeah man to tie you to this man. You wasted your money and your time.
The big issue that you have to deal with is whether this man is the father of the child you are carrying. Evidently you love him more than the other man that you had sex with. This man is better than the other guy in every way. Unfortunately, you were not careful. You had unprotected sex with both of these men and one of them got you pregnant. It seems to me that you have convinced this man you describe as your ex that he is responsible for your pregnancy.
After you have given birth, do a DNA test to ascertain the truth. Don’t allow this man or the other guy to question you on the matter. Do so without any pressure. You know what you would have to do to get these men to agree to be tested. If you are not sure what you should do, talk to your doctor.
I wish you well; my prayers are with you.
Pastor
