Donovan Duckie has ended his spell as head coach of Phoenix Chapelton Maroons, stepping down from the Jamaica Premier League club with immediate effect.
Duckie, who had been in charge of the Clarendon-based side from the opening of the season, submitted his resignation letter to club president Kaycia Butler on June 11.
"Please accept this letter as formal notice of my resignation as head coach of the Chapelton Maroons effective immediately, June 11, 2026," Duckie wrote.
In the letter, he thanked the club for allowing him to lead the programme and said serving in the role had been meaningful. He said it was "an honour to work with the players, staff and management" and added that he valued the "experiences, challenges, and memories" from his time in charge.
Duckie also said leaving was a difficult call. "The decision was not an easy one but, after careful consideration, I believe it is right to step away for my personal and professional growth. I remain thankful for the support and trust placed in me during the time with the organisation."
Craig Butler, the club's technical director, declined to comment when asked about the development.
Chapelton Maroons ended the Jamaica Premier League season in eighth place on 49 points.
