Dovey Magnum and Cartadon join forces on Boston Boys Records release ‘Motion’

US imprint Boston Boys Records is lining up a fresh dancehall pairing that puts Dovey Magnum beside Cartadon. Their joint cut, Motion, is a sultry number from the label’s production desk and is due out within days, packaged with a full official video. People watching the market already see the record as having solid crossover reach.

Cartadon voiced assurance that audiences will connect with the track and thanked Boston Boys Records for bringing him on board after the company recently took him under a management arrangement.

“First off, I must take this opportunity to tell Mike [Haley] respect for the opportunity to be a part of the Boston Boys Records family, which I take great pride in. The song is a hit and me nah ask dat. We just a put di work in to make the fans embrace it and big up Dovey same way cause she deal wid the vocals a way,” he said.

Dovey Magnum, whose refreshed look has been drawing attention online of late, is reported to have laid down sensual, melodic lines, while Cartadon answers with the rough-edged charm listeners link to his sound. Label producer Mike Haley credited the spark between the two performers for lifting the record.

“When creative and talented people merge ideas, it’s a great look. They were having fun trying to outdo each other on the beat. This song is not just another song; it is a classic in the making. We are definitely enthusiastic about it,” he said.

Beyond Motion, Cartadon has finished several videos slated to appear across the next few weeks under his Boston Boys Records alliance, with the Dovey Magnum joint project opening that run.
