Drift Revolution opens 2025 season on May 24 with more than 25 drivers

Drift Revolution organisers say the 2025 season will be larger and more competitive, with more local drivers and growing interest from overseas competitors still being worked out.

The five-race series opens on 24 May at Junction Pines Plaza. Additional rounds are scheduled for July, October, November and December at venues across the island, including a newly added July stop, Dover in October, Jam West in November, and Vernam Field in December.

Drift racing has built a strong local following because it is judged differently from traditional circuit racing. Instead of chasing the fastest lap, drivers are scored on vehicle control, angle, speed and style.

Last year’s programme began as a test series in 2024, with the official competition following a year later. The first full staging drew about 12 drivers; organisers now expect more than 25 for the new season, citing new builds and a wave of entry enquiries.

“We have new builds. We have teams coming in with better prepared cars, so the fans can look for an exciting series,” an organiser said. The calendar will also feature two distinct high-speed formats alongside car-park drift action, which organisers said should add variety for spectators.

Interest has also come from overseas, though logistics for importing competition vehicles have not yet been settled. “We have some interest from overseas, but the logistics have not been worked out on how to bring the cars in, and we’re working on it as we speak,” the organiser added.
