Two die after Toyota Noah hits wall and burns on Highway 2000 in Manchester
MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Two people lost their lives in an early-morning crash and fire on the Williamsfield section of the PJ Patterson Highway (Highway 2000) on Saturday.
Police stated that the incident took place at approximately 3:45 am close to St Toolies and involved a Toyota Noah. The minivan was moving eastbound when it failed to hold the curve and struck a concrete retaining wall on the left shoulder head-on.
Flames quickly overtook the vehicle. The driver and a front-seat passenger could not be identified because both were burnt beyond recognition. Authorities have since transferred the charred remains to the morgue.
